Last month, my 9 yr old son came home from school with his right Nike Air Max shoe having a bulging heel. After wearing these $130.00 shoes for 5 months, we were quite shocked. The heel literally exploded and left the shoe unwearable. He canโ€™t even walk with them. We sent them to Nike fully expecting a full refund. Instead, our claim was denied. I called Nike and after a month of back and forth with โ€œSaulโ€ we eventually were told that it was just a normal occurrence due to wear and they agreed with their initial inspection. Here is the full dialogue. Nike - you have lost a customer! Unbelievable. Any similar stories?

See my website for a description of my issue and the full dialogue between me and Saul from Nike.

Yes I had the same thing happen and I now have to throw my shoes away.

I am currently going through a denied claim. Know I'm asking to send in pictures of the shoe.

I don't belive it was inspected. One of the air bubbles popped after 4 wears.

Expensive baskball shoes for my kid. I don't typically purchase high priced shoes but buyer beware.

Here is the proper link. Be ready for a similar frustrating exchange.

I had my nike air max's for about 5 months, bubble warped them in the heal, couldn't use them. My first pair popped and they replaced them, but this time, they're too old (I bought the 2011's in 2012, then didn't use them til 2013).

Everywhere I looked on the web said they wont help you.

$170 ***, with decent customer service IF you use them immediately. But these shoes aren't designed to last more than 5-6 months, no matter how much use.
